Telehealth

Intrigued about remote healthcare?

As many of our clients suffer chronic or acute pain, struggle with their mobility, live remotely or are time poor, we have responded to demand and now provide the majority of our healthcare services remotely, using simple technology like the internet and telephone.

Sound a bit different? Well, it is! But it works.

Just like at your local clinic, we assess your condition, injury or pain, make a diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan for you. We provide the same quality of care remotely, as you would expect to receive from a traditional, face-to-face appointment. The difference is that your clinician is on a screen, in the palm of your hand, or on your computer, rather than being with you in person. You still get to talk to them and discuss your concerns, like at a traditional appointment.

So does it really work? Sure does!  In fact, extensive research has shown that outcomes achieved from remote healthcare services are equally as good as those achieved from traditional clinic-based services. Who knew!

       So how does it work?

All you need is a device such as a computer, tablet, or smart phone, that can connect to the internet and open a web page. We look after the rest, and provide simple instructions that are very easy to follow.

What are the benefits?

The benefits are substantial!  Firstly our clients are able to access allied health assessment, diagnosis and management remotely, without the need for lengthy travel time. This allows you to access our services from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection.

For our clinicians, remote health enables us to monitor your progress remotely, provide support when required and be more responsive to your needs.

For example, by using video conferencing, we can assess your ability to undertake a task that you find difficult - such as getting out of bed, stepping off a tractor or navigating the kitchen. We can also perform home or workplace assessments, no matter where you’re located.

By incorporating wearables and apps, for those that need it, we can also receive live data, such as blood pressure, pulse, weight/BMI/body composition and blood glucose. This enables us to provide you with specific feedback and alter your health plan as required, without waiting for the next appointment.
